Strategic Planning
Let’s work together to develop your Roadmap—literally a one-page guide. I have done these for businesses, individuals and nonprofit organizations. This keeps your mission, vision and values center front, while also highlighting longer-term goals, 12-month initiatives and areas for improvement.
We met with a major funder this week and shared our newest roadmap with her to show her our latest initiatives. She loved it and wanted to share it with every nonprofit. It is genius and very handy to keep us on track.
Miki Farris
Infant Crisis ServicesMolly has been an advisor and conducted strategic planning sessions for Cleats for Kids throughout our first 10 years. She listens and understands our nonprofit business and operations. Her strategic planning sessions have provided “roadmaps” that have been a big part of C4K’s ability to sustainably grow and impact more kids while maintaining efficiency. Our entire Board and staff appreciates every time we have the opportunity to work with Molly.
Stacy McDaniel
Executive Director, Cleats for KidsI believe her Roadmap is a better product that allows your retreat to focus on the big picture with some details, rather than spending so much time in the weeds and having an overwhelming notebook of details to continuously pour over (which is more likely to be stuck on a shelf never or rarely used).
Ginny Bass Carl
(Former) Board Chair, ReMergeI used to dread organization strategic planning. Since I’ve met Molly, I love it! Our plan is great, it works and she makes the process fun. She has worked with us for three years and I wouldn’t use anyone else.
Maura Wilson Guten
Executive Director, Tulsa CASA, Inc.Molly has been just the kind of spark plug my Board of Directors has needed to retrench, build on best practices and gain momentum with back-to-back strategic plans.
Leslie Baker
Executive Director, Reining Horse FoundationI have worked with Molly Helm in a variety of ways over the last year and have found her to be a joy to work with. Her commitment to adding value to her clients, the energy she brings to each meeting, project and interaction, and her thoughtful and smart approach all make me want to work with her again and again. I highly recommend Molly for any strategic needs.
Kristi Spaethe, SHRM-CP, PHR
President & Principal Consultant, The People PerspectiveI’d like to give a shout out to Enid’s own Molly Helm, who played a key role as part of our comprehensive and inclusive planning process. Molly is my strategic plan guru, we truly could not have done this without her sage guidance, support, and humor during a very unpredictable and uncertain year. Thank you, Molly!

Business Development
Are you a consultant or freelancer starting your own business? Are you an entrepreneur with an idea? After 20 years of part-time freelancing and three years of full-time consulting, plus several decades of business experience, I can help you as you develop your business plan, create your brand and develop your processes. I, along with my network of professional designers, organizers, photographers, accountants and social media/PR specialists, will provide assistance and objective opinions.
Molly has worked with my company almost since the beginning, providing invaluable strategic advice, as well as creative marketing ideas and ongoing communications support. She facilitated our early staff retreat, encouraged me to create processes and delegate parts of my work, and introduced me to other professionals to help me as I grow. She is a combination marketer, consultant and cheerleader!

Words matter and I have plenty of Purple Ink to help you find the right words for your messaging, marketing or organizational documents. From business plans and bylaws to web copy and promotional materials, words are my specialty.
As a photographer, I have always loved the idea that my photos are worth 1000 words (or more!). As a business owner, when I need words, I go to Molly. She has put a voice to many of my projects—letters, brochures, websites, and even a book. It is always a pleasure dealing with people who really listen, understand and get the subtleties of a concept. Molly has that innate talent of getting to the root of the message and bringing it immediately to the surface. She is more than a colleague—she is a true friend.
Mike Klemme
Owner, KLEMME/ArtGrant applications have to be factual and compelling, creative and impactful – all while adhering to strict content guidelines and meeting deadlines. Molly knows how to understand an organization’s mission and transform it into a compassionate case for support. She listens well, summarizes succinctly and helps us tell our story.
Evelyn Bollenbach
Children’s Hospital FoundationMolly has been a valued asset as I started and built my business. She has worked with me on branding, developing my printed materials, and creating messaging and a simple marketing plan. She even helps hold me accountable to my schedule as I work through the steps. She is my ‘go-to’ person for words and strategic advice.

Purple Ink Does Training
Training can be tricky. It is really important but it needs to be fun as well as substantial and engaging. I have presentations on board governance, roles and responsibilities, customer service, telling your story, and others that can be customized for your group or incorporated into a retreat.
Molly has distinguished herself as a conscientious and energetic pioneer in the fields of leadership and consulting. I have enjoyed working with Molly while doing Nonprofit Board Training, and I am always impressed with the professionalism that she brings to the training table. She is very organized and strategically approaches her consulting with cutting edge ideas, which always encourages thought–provoking discussions and results.
Mary Stallings
President and CEO, Cherokee Strip Community FoundationI met Molly standing in line as she was helping a young lady purchase school supplies; it was easy to tell Molly has a heart for kids. Her passion was even more evident when we had her come to Hennessey to provide professional development related to securing funding through DonorsChoose.org. I can’t recommend Molly and her training enough—within three days we had four projects fully funded for over $2,500.
Mike Woods
Superintendent, Hennessey Public SchoolsThank you for teaching the Board Governance III: Roles and Responsibilities training. In reviewing evaluations from this class, your presentation score was a 4.0 on a 4.0 scale, and the overall training score was a 4.0 on a 4.0 scale. We appreciate your working with us to effectively meet our mission, building better communities through effective nonprofits.

Purple Ink Does Meeting Facilitation
Years of attending meetings, some of which were more effective than others, have helped me see the value of having a facilitator help plan and run certain meetings and sessions.
Throughout my career in association management I have been fortunate to work with some truly exceptional facilitators, some with national and international reputations. Molly is right at the top of the list. Her temperament and tone are ideal for contentious issues and her marketing orientation keeps the right focus on the big picture. I have recommended her to some very satisfied colleagues and will continue to do so.
Gary Carpenter
Commissioner, National Reining Horse AssociationAs my business partner in DisruptHR, Molly showed a commitment to the end goal, a willingness to always explore creative solutions, and became a rock as I trusted her follow-through and strength of character. She’s the best for an encouraging word in a quick call or text, a reality check as needed, and seems to intuitively know the next best step. Chief Thinker is a perfect title for her way of looking at the world, exploring solutions, and keeping a project on track — always with an encouraging smile.
Linda M. Clark
Executive and Leadership Coaching, Career Strategist, Personal Development, Executive ChameleonMolly engaged each Board member from the beginning of the session. In fact, Board members commented afterwards that they felt like everyone’s voice was heard. She helped the board identify specifically mission-critical items and kept us focused and on task. Her positive attitude and professional demeanor further helped her effectiveness.
Stacy McDaniel
Executive Director, Cleats for Kids
Purple Ink Does Business and Personal Coaching
Looking for someone to help work through a challenge or issue? Being a CEO or entrepreneur can be overwhelming! Sometimes having an objective, experienced third party to assist is just what you need to get optimum results.
Molly was able to help me corral a giant vision into a workable strategy plan, focusing my niche, and giving me a sound path for leveraging resources, remaining true to my goals for a joyous business, and remembering to keep strategy and long-term sustainability at the forefront. All without compromising my delight and expectation that days be surrounded with magic, purpose, and compassion for others. In the best and truest sense of my purpose, Molly helped me remain authentic, steadfast, and forward-focused. It is my intention to sit down with her annually to check my plan and modify for focus and growth.

Executive and Leadership Coaching, Career Strategist, Personal Development, Executive ChameleonRegarding coaching… In a word, Molly PEGGED it! Her skills and disposition made this one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Yes, self-improvement is on the horizon, but, honestly, the process of defining who you are, exploring your next 12- month journey, and confirming your core values is an incredibly freeing exercise. Thanks to Molly, who I am and what I want, at the most essential level, is hanging on my wall. My reminder, my roadmap, my checks and balances. Thank you, Molly.

Giving Well
I really do want to change the world—one word at a time. I listen, plan, organize, streamline, encourage, hold accountable and connect. Working with clients to help them be better, to improve themselves, their business or their organization, and to have more fun while they do their work—that is what I do.
